So here I am, updating this ridiculous log of my adventures in art. But what's this? NO ART? AGAIN? Really now, what were expecting? I took a look at some of the pictures and what not that I was planning to post here and to be frank with you all, they really aren't anything to look at. A monkey could throw his feces against a wall and make something more attractive. Now granted, I'm aware this is deviant art and that crap pictures are just as run of the mill as the air we breath in this strange place. However, for some reason I have this insane artist block that just makes everything I draw feel and look like something lesser than monkey feces. I suppose I'll just have to recolor Sonic the Hedgehog sprites and make "original" furry characters like the everyone else.
OR: I could exercise a level of fucking dignity.
I've seen a couple of good movies this summer already:

Gran Torino - Clint Eastwood is probably the most badass old man to ever walk this planet. He's probably just the most badass period. This movie was great, filled with racist jokes and that warm feeling in your heart about an old man beginning to accept the inevitable change of the society around him. See also:

UP - Much like Gran Torino, except kid friendly. Old man slowly accepting the changes around him with the help of an Asian child. This movie surprised me, I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. It followed the basic Pixar movie formula to a T, but don't let that scare you away. My favorite part was the very beginning, before the actual events of the movie really take place.

Star Trek - I now have a respect for J.J. Abrams that Lost just couldn't provide. God damn does that bastard love time travel and everything relating to. Two words: Parallel Universe. This means that the meticulously charted and studied time line in the Star Trek Universe is kept mostly intact by creating a new time line that is more exciting for us folk who like explosions and photon torpedoes. And if you are worried that the new Spock is going to be just like Sylar, I assure you Zachary Quinto can actually act.

Animal House - I don't understand how I never managed to see this movie until recently. The godfather of all college movies, the movie with all the things other college movies TRY to copy but fail miserably. And John Belushi was a riot to watch. I was also surprised by the level of nudity that was shown but hey, no complaints from me. If you don't like movies that feature fun things like vulgar humor or sexual conduct, then this isn't for you but it's just one of those movies you should see before you die.
One day, I truly will update this forsaken piece of the internet and I really will post artwork that will be ignored for recolored anime characters and Kingdom Hearts fanart. Until then, I'll be seeing you later.
